Star Student 10/17-10/21
Tyler has been a wonderful Star Student. I really enjoyed all of his pictures and getting to know more about him. Thank you so much for providing cupcakes for the kids on Friday. They really enjoyed them. Tyler has been very helpful this week!
Fire Prevention
Students attended an assembly where they were able to learn about what to do in case of a fire. The students learned what to do and what not to do. They had a lot of fun and learned a lot. :)

Writing Binders
The children are doing a wonderful job of working in their binders to understand the writing process. Children are taking one sentence and writing a paragraph about it. They are doing a wonderful job with this. They are even using it to help check their spelling, edit, and revise their work. I am so proud of them!!!
Behavior Board
I have placed a display outside our classroom for our behavior clip chart. If your child makes it up to purple, they receive a sticker for their bat in the hall. They love this! PLEASE make a big deal out of getting on purple. It is very hard to do. I believe that we have only had 3 children reach purple. Way to go!!
Healthy Choices
We attended a nutrition program this week. The children learned about the food groups. They also learned how to make a healthy tray for lunch. The kids really enjoyed this. :)

The kids were very excited to be able to do the Shaving Cream Spelling. They did a great job and it allowed me to assess the students. They did not even want to leave to go to recess. :)
