Nouns and Verbs

Today, students worked in groups to take a sentence that was mixed up and make it into a structured sentence. After they did that, they were to label the nouns and verbs in the sentence. Finally, they were to illustrate their sentence. They had a blast and did a fantastic job!!!

Painting their background for their writing.

Cloud in a Jar

This week, we read "The Storm" and have been studying weather. The students took their clouds and added "rain water" to the cloud. They made inferences about what would happen. Then, they watched their water as it traveled through the cloud and they were amazed. Finally, they drew and wrote about their clouds.

Noun Scavenger Hunt

We took a tour of the school while looking for different nouns. They were required to place them under the label of a person, place, or thing. They had a blast with this. We will definitely be doing this again. Sorry for the blurry pictures. It was very hard to capture them. They are fast. :)

Domino Dot Patterns

Students used Dominos to make dot patterns. Then, they placed them in order from least to greatest.
