The kids really enjoyed their Show and Tell. Unfortunately my camera wouldn't take all of the pictures :( I'm sorry if your child is not pictured. The star student for the week will be the one do show and tell.

Picking out books for Daily 5!
Students are very excited about their book baskets. They have many different books in their baskets. They have picked many of the books that go into their basket and of course some come from our reading series. They are very eager to pick out their own books. We are working on picking out appropriate books.
They have learned to put up a finger for every word that they can not say from their book. They will do this only over a page or two.
0-1 fingers= too easy
2-3 fingers= just right
4-5 fingers= too hard
They are VERY engaged in their books. They are learning to take their time and read so that they can understand. We have learned two new strategies this week for reading. I will be sharing those with you guys soon so that you may practice at home.
